Published in Medical Journal | Encouraging research about antiaging

We want to gratulate Marcus and highlight that he's just got a research report published in well recognised Medical Journal. You can find the article HERE.

That’s a real accomplishment and legacy work can you tell us a little about this topic and what the report has found?

Thank you. I love clinical research, and for the past few years I have been focused on ways to defeat infection without using systemic antibiotics. Many people throughout the world suffer serious wounds each year, and a significant percentage become infected. We need strategies to prevent and treat infection, without overuse of systemic antibiotics, which can have very serious side effects, not to mention the fact that bacteria are quickly becoming resistant to many of our most important antibiotics. This paper was focused on a method for defeating bacteria and fungal infections at the site of infection, using a biophysical action called desiccation. We actually pioneered the use of this strategy about 5 years ago, in my main clinic, at a hospital in the San Antonio, Texas area. The results have been extremely promising, and some of these cases were summarized in this paper.

Your clinic has grown a lot the last years and your roll as Medical Chief Officer at Wound Centrics has been both challenging and rewarding. How many are you today? Are your clinic linked to a hospital?

I am the Chief Medical Officer of a medical specialty organization that has grown to over 40 hospitals in the United States. From my main clinic site at a hospital system in San Antonio, Texas, we have grown to almost 60 clinicians in 14 states. We provide specialty care in the inpatient setting (patient in hospitals), as well as outpatient clinics. We now provide advanced care to spare and regenerate tissue, prevent and treat infections, and guide amputation prevention efforts. Many of our patients have quite challenging conditions, often with diabetes, arterial disease, chronic inflammatory conditions, and chronic kidney disease. Some are victims of trauma, or surgical complications. What is exciting is that I am able to use the same principles that I outline in Growing Young, including in many cases evidence-based nutritional strategies, to create profound improvements in these patients. Some improve so much that they look like different people within a few months. Some have lost more than 100 pounds, and appear to be 10 years younger. I love this work, and I love teaching other healthcare professionals these evidence-based techniques for creating true health gains. I serve as Chief of Staff for my main hospital, where my original clinic is based, and this enables me to be an influencer among physicians regionally.

How does your daily work communicate or link to cellular health and mitochondria support that we aim to catch with the Cellexir One formula that you designed?

As a physician involved in restoring and regenerating tissue, and healing chronic wounds, I am able to apply the science of cellular health to my work in many ways. Chronic disease is in a true sense the antipode to wellness. While some physicians mistakenly see it as random, or a bad roll of the genetic dice, my knowledge of mitochondrial function, and cellular metabolic health tells me that a patient with systemic illness is a patient with badly functioning cells. By restoring cellular health, a patient can begin the process of restoring the health of the whole body. I get to see this exemplified very graphically, because a wound is in a sense a window into cellular health that quickly reveals epigenetic and metabolic aspects of cellular health. By using principles like those embodied in Cellexir; strategically employing evidence-based supplements rather than generic “eat better and exercise more” advice that is often dispensed by physicians, I can quickly see improvements in cell function, in that tissue function improves in ways I can document and measure, using computerized, photogrammetric analytic techniques. Much of this improvement can be chalked up to improvements in mitochondrial health, as well as epigenetically mediated reductions in systemic inflammation.

There's been a few years since you wrote the book Growing Young in 2011. How would you rank the content today, is it still valid?

I frequently ask myself this question, and I am happy to report that not a single supplement or health strategy in Growing Young has been invalidated by research published since the publication of the book. I stand by each of the recommendations today, and continue to benefit from them myself. I am in better shape, and can certainly perform better, mentally, and physically. I can run faster, life more weight, sleep better, and I just feel better than I did when the book came out. I continue be encouraged by folks reporting the same gains to me from using the methods in the book.

Has the research in the antiaging area and Cellular health come up with any new breaking science the last years?

Yes, there is very encouraging research since the book came out, and I fully intend to update the book, and present some of the exciting developments that can be added to our anti-aging armamentarium. It is my hope that Cellexir can be on the forefront of bringing some of these breakthroughs to the public. I will be working with the Cellexir team to help make this a reality.

Do you follow the research and what do you forecast in this field for the next 10-20 years?

One of the big developments is going to be in the area of hormonal health. Up to now, maintaining hormonal health as we age has been confusing, expensive, and often even painful. I see this changing, with the development of compounds that mimic the beneficial effects of testosterone and other hormones in the body, without the challenges. Another thing I see on the horizon is better strategies for epigenetically stimulating cells to revert to more youthful functioning. We see this now in compounds like J147, which is a modified form of Curcumin. I think we will see more of this in time.

In the longer run do you think we can see people reaching 150-200 years with a healthy life span up in age?

Based on experiments in small animals, the answer is clearly, “yes.” In the lab, we have already achieved doubling of lifespan in small animals. I hold a patent on a supplement that has shown extraordinary benefits in animals, and it is only a matter of time before these things are available for humans. Again, I recommend that people pay attention to Cellexir, as we intend to stay on the forefront of this movement.

If so when and what links could be missing still to make this quest for “eternal life” to take place?

The missing links are tantalizingly few. We now know a great deal more about how and why genetic material inside our cells becomes damaged, and what to do about it. There are compounds that can repair DNA, and soon we will see these come into play. We are also on the cusp of using CRISPR – a technique for inserting new genes into cells – to insert anti-aging genes. I believe we will see this very soon.

I know you are a found believer of synergy effects for a healthy lifespan both for a combination of lifestyle, nutrition, rest and exercise. But also for dietary supplements like the ones you designed for Cellexir One.

Could you elaborate a little about synergy effect in general and specific for the ones in Cellexir One?

Synergy is in many ways the key to life, period. What we know as “life,” and in all living organisms, there is no one single thing that stands alone as being all important; Rather, we know that life is fundamentally system-based, with millions of interlinked processes functioning each second, to produce the miracle we know as life. This is why a search for the “one single thing” is in my opinion, misguided. They key is to support the Whole Organism, and support the interlinked synergy of cellular processes working in harmony to produce optimal health. Cellexir embodies this perfectly, combining substances that have been well proven to produce beneficial effects alone, but which when combined, produce effects greater than the sum of the parts. Synergy is the key.

More and more clients discover the positive effects of Cellexir One and for myself I have now taken these supplements (ingredients) daily for over 5 years with extremely good results and as a 53 year old still competing at high level in sports with continuously new personal records. And as long as my overall health and results are so good I don’t dare to take a break.

Some customers ask us how long you could take Cellexir One? Is it safe to use long term? Could you get immune? Any other potential effects of a potential long-term use?

We purposely designed Cellexir One to be safe for long-term daily use. In point of fact, the concepts embodied in Cellexir One require continued use for maximal benefit. There is no reason to expect toxicity with long-term use, or a need to take regular breaks. On the other hand, there is no dependency, so if you run out for a time, it is in no way harmful.

Thank you very much Marcus we will strive further to Growing Young
